Toddler Group (18-36 months)
The toddler language playgroup is a fun play-based group for children between the ages of 18 months to 3 years with or without speech-language delays. The toddler language playgroup is designed with a schedule of activities and transitions to facilitate the child's communication, language, articulation, learning, motor and social-emotional skills, and overall development. Activities may include singing, musical instruments, art, sensory play, story time, snack, and outdoor play. Speech-language pathology graduate students provide therapy under the supervision of a certified speech-language pathologist (SLP). Senior undergraduate speech pathology assistant students also have opportunities to learn and assist in the group.
Preschool Services (3-5 years)
Preschool group provide communication services for children 3-5 years of age. Classes meet on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 9:00 A. M. until 11:30 A. M. These services include screenings, assessments, and clinical intervention. Service delivery models include small groups and individual pull out sessions as needed. Our classes are literacy based and designed to meet the individual needs of the child and their family. Children may also be seen individually by signing up for therapy packs, which consist of ten one-half hour sessions. We conduct diagnostic assessments for preschool-aged children upon request. Graduate student clinicians provide these services under the supervision of certified and licensed speech-language pathologists.
