Among Friends: Stuttering Group for Kids 6-teens

Among Friends is group-based treatment designed for people ages 6 – teens who stutter. Research-based intervention addresses confidence in speaking and practice communicating effortlessly. 

Activities are designed to increase understanding of speech, stuttering and most importantly, confident communication. Structured practice will add to a useful toolkit of speech strategies. 

What 
Conversation-focused, interactive speech sessions are supervised by Victoria Clark, M.S., CCC-SLP, a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, and led by graduate students in our Master’s degree program. Sessions are designed to promote relaxed confidence in everyday communication. 

When 
Tuesdays January 28 - April 8, 2025 (no session March 11) from 4:30 – 5:20 p.m. 

Who 
Children ages 6- teens with speech fluency needs (stuttering). Groups are divided according to ages and goals. Parents and families are encouraged to join specified portions of the sessions for information about supporting their child’s communication.
